Position Title: Real Property Field Appraiser
Department: Property Valuation
Salary: $16.00-$17.00 Depending on experience plus Benefits
The Madison County Government in Danielsville, Georgia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Real Property Field Appraiser. Major duties are to determine fair market value of property by size, zoning, use, location, construction quality, depreciation and market data. Enter and maintain all fieldwork in computer. Attend continuing education classes and training. Assist the Chief Appraiser with records, maps, budgets. Assist the public with questions on property valuation and related tax questions as needed. Qualified candidate must have valid GA DL & high school diploma or equivalent. Hold or have the ability to achieve Certification of an Appraiser I after employment. Be able to pass background check, drug screen and have a clean driving record. Be able to walk, bend, squat, stoop in all types weather conditions as the majority of the day is spent out in the field.
