| Description: | The Madison County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Recreation Director. Qualified applicants must work well with the public and possess general office skills. Applicant must have excellent communication skills and strong supervisory/management skills and must have a valid GA D/L with a clean background history. This position oversees the day-to-day operations, prepares and administers the annual budget, solicits funds and prepares grants for development/renovation of facilities, maintains food svc. stand during activities, and is responsible for the development of employees and/or programs. Coordinates Athletic League Organization by coordinating the Basketball, Baseball and Softball Programs. Minimum requirements: Bachelors or Master’s with min. of 6 yrs exp. in Parks/Recreation (or similar field) or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
