| Description: | The Madison County Board of Commissioner’s is accepting applications for the position of EMS Director. This position is responsible for providing emergency health care to the citizens of Madison County, which includes directing the activities of the Emergency Medical Services. Major duties and responsibilities: oversees day-to-day operations, staffing, and management of four EMS stations. Selects, trains, assigns, supervises and evaluates personnel. Implements guidelines, policies, and procedures. Responds to after hour emergencies. Coordinates training of new employees, ensures required certifications are attained and maintained. Maintains personnel, training and equipment records. Responsible for employee timesheets. Attends local, state, and regional training classes, and prepares the annual budget. Must have current Paramedic certification, or above, to be considered for position. Previous management experience a plus.
